You don’t need to be a genius to learn about physics!
Sometimes you just need someone to help you navigate through all the jargon.

And that’s what I am trying to do here:
I will write short articles about new, cutting-edge physics papers, putting them into words that everyone can understand!
Because everyone should have the chance to enjoy the wonder and beauty of physics!

Johanna K. Jochum

This is me, sitting in front of my Instrument RESEDA, trying to figure out why it isn’t working.

While this happens more often than you’d think, it’s not all I do. Besides fixing and maintaining RESEDA I get to do my own experiments, help researchers from all over the world do their measurements, and figure out what their data means. Once we know that, we write it all down and publish papers, where we describe what we did, why and what it means, which is very rewarding. However, these papers are always written for our colleagues and are almost impossible to understand for someone who isn’t a specialist. I think it’s a shame that papers aren’t written for everyone, so I decided to just do that myself.

Do you have an idea for a blogpost?

Is there a paper you want me to write about? Just leave me the doi or link, your name and Email and I will get to work on it :)

The URL of the paper, where I can find it.
What yout think it is about, what should I write about...
